Dwarf goat

In our petting zoo you will find these adorable jumping dwarf goats! They eat in a very crazy way, as they only have teeth in their lower jaw. The dwarf goat is native to West Africa, but is widely kept as a pet in Europe. Although they seem moody because of their persistent munching, dwarf goats love to be cuddled immensely, so feel free to pet them on their heads when you're around!

Scientific name: Capra aegagrus hircus

The dwarf goat is native to West Africa and is a herd animal. An adult dwarf goat is about 50 cm tall and weighs between 25 and 50 pounds. Goats eat in a peculiar way; they have teeth only in the lower jaw. They chew the food briefly, swallow it and then burp it up again to regurgitate it.
