New in 2024: themed area with new animal species!

On 11 March 2024, construction work will begin on a new themed area in our zoo. As a result, some animal species will (temporarily) no longer be on display or will be moved to other zoos. More information will be published on hofvaneckberge.nl/en/news-from-the-park during the construction work.

Petting zoo

Since July 15, 2020, our zoo is home to a new Petting Zoo! At the Petting Zoo you will find several new species of animals: dwarf goats, miniature pigs and Ouessant sheep! During Petting Zoo opening hours, you may cuddle, play with the animals yourself or just watch from a distance.

The petting zoo is open all day (until zoo closing time).

Practical information

If you want to visit our zoo, it is important to take into account the following fun and important information:

• Hof van Eckberge is fully wheelchair and walker accessible. The paths are spacious, wide, partially paved and mostly barrier-free. Accessibility is our top priority!
• It is not allowed to feed our animals. This makes the amount of feed immeasurable and can interfere with diets. Animals may become sick as a result.
• A visit to the zoo must be accompanied by an adult.
• The zoo is open until 5 p.m.
• An ECKspedition booklet is available at the reception desk for €1.50 with an educational scavenger hunt and puzzles!
• In the park there are information panels at each species. On these you will find fun facts and interesting information.
